However, this evening, a Saturday night, after getting out of the whale watching cruise, we were really too late to get the campground we had expected.  So began a search for ANY available place to spend the night.  The highway (PCH) was lovely, next to the ocean, except for the signs every few feet telling us we can&#8217;t part there through the night.   But, a phone call back to Malibu RV disclosed a campsite, which we booked sight unseen.<br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/3989\/528\/1600\/CRW_8268.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;\" src=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/3989\/528\/320\/CRW_8268.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>  It&#8217;s a fine campsite, except for the trees covering the entire southern sky.  (You&#8217;ve seen the advert &#8212; &#8220;All you need is a clear view of the southern sky.&#8221;)  So, satellite internet was out for tonight.<\/p>\n<p>It was time to rummage for the cell phone cable, the one that connects my Sanyo 4900 to the USB port of my mac.<a href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/3989\/528\/1600\/CRW_8267.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;\" src=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/3989\/528\/320\/CRW_8267.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Mac OSX comes with all the necessary drivers.  All you have to do is select the phone, put in #777 as the phone number, and connect.<br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/3989\/528\/1600\/net.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;\" src=\"http:\/\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/3989\/528\/320\/net.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As I mentioned in an earlier post, I use satellite internet &#8230; most of the time.
