Back in 1977, I got a phone call from a man starting up a computer magazine, ROM. He knew I wrote science fiction and he had an issue coming up with a focus on memory. He requested a story and I quickly wrote one — Forget It! In this story I dreamed up my ideal PDA/wristwatch. Over the years, I’ve owned many gadgets that hinted at what I wrote, but the new Apple Watch comes the closest.
